More Photographs of North Wales....
Here are some more photographs of North Wales, the Bridge is a very old crossing of the river, and originally was built for use by horse and cart traffic, and also the Mail Coaches.... It is only just wide enough to take ONE modern coach, however, the one in the picture seems to have had a problem getting over the summit !... I think it must have "grounded", as the passengers had to be removed to lighten the weight on the springs, and give enough ground clearance for the coach to continue...
As this is the main road, you can imagine the traffic chaos, (despite my picture of not traffic) in the narrow streets of the town. All road signs in Wales are "bi-lingual" in Welsh and English.... which makes navigation a bit tricky some times ! ! !....

I think I need to move to Wales.. your last picture is a perfect story book setting - shame it wasn't sunny (but it is Wales after all ;) )
ReplyDeleteYes, the little house on the right, covered with ivy, is a tea room, and very popular.... a step back in time! !. Wales is beautiful, whatever the weather....
